Lara Kats initially qualified as a physiotherapist for human patients and spent several years working for the NHS. After completing her MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2001 she established The Veterinary Clinic specialising in Animal Physiotherapy (mostly dogs and horses but also cats, rabbits, goats, sheep, cattle, a reindeer ,roe deer and a swan).
Lara is a member of ACPAT and CSP.
Please scroll down to find the Clinic location.
Lara uses a combination of exercise, manual and electrotherapy treatments, including laser, and can also custom make splints. Facilities include stables and an outdoor arena for horses, a hydrotherapy pool for dogs.
Canine hydrotherapy is extremely effective in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. Dogs who suffer pain exercising on land can develop strength and fitness much more comfortably in a warm weightless environment. Swimming is not only a great way to relieve pain, swelling and stiffness, it promotes relaxation, and helps to build cardiovascular fitness and strength.
